Get To Know Me

My name is Jeannine DeAguinaga. I recently graduated from CSU-Chico with two degrees in International Relations and Latin American Studies. I am the youngest of four and I am the first of my brother and sister to actually study in another country. I love food and enjoy learning about different cultures.

When I first meet people, I am very shy, but that’s only because I have to feel comfortable with the people I am with. After that I am very out going and enjoy talking and sharing stories.

I am up for doing new things at least once. I have spent my whole life worried about what people thought. At this point in my life I feel that life is to short to care about what other people think, all I have to do is be me.

My friends are everything and I would bend over backwards to help a friend out. I’m super easy to get along with.

Since I was a kid I’ve always had slow self-esteem. Now that I am in college and able to be myself, I am more confident then ever. I have created amazing relationship in college and I am still friends with my high school best friend Amanda Serrato. I really don’t know where I would be without her in my life.

I studies abroad in Santiago, Chile, but the main reason I went to Chile was to experience the culture that I knew nothing about. I have gone to Mexico, Europe and Puerto Rico, but Chile is a country that I knew very little about. I really loved it there and I couldn’t imagine myself anywhere else. I could of gone to study in Mexico or Thailand, but Chile was the place that I chose and chose me.

I’m currently working to pay bills and taking a break from school and maybe going to Graduate school. I’m just experiencing and take what ever the world has to offer.
